Jan.7th  S¨Śgol¨¨ne Royal, the presidential candidate of French Socialist Party visited the Migrant Women's Club. 
March   The magazine Women Village Heads, a supplement of Rural Women Magazine started its publication. 
Mar.5th   The first board meeting was held, discussed and revised the General Charter of the BCDCRW. The board members
voted Xie Lihua as the Board Chair and Wu Qing Honorary Board Chair. 
Mar.13th  Ms. Renee Bergkamp and other three department chiefs of Netherlands agriculture, nature and food departments,
as well as other three Dutch leaders visited the Training Center, donating RMB 50000.
Xie Lihua received 2007 Global Women's Leadership Award for Human Rights by Vital Voices Global Partnership at the 
Kennedy Art Center in Washington D.C. Hillary
Clinton, the Honorary President of Vital Voices, attended the ceremony and conferred the awards to the winners. Four 
Chinese women won the honor. 
Mar.24th-25th  A workshop on exchanging experience in literacy for rural women was held in Beijing.
Apr.6th  The Workshop on the Protection of Women's Rights in Informal Employment was held by the Migrant Women's Club
and Beijing Law Society for Labor and Social Security Law in Qilu Hotel. The meeting was held on the 11th anniversary of the
Migrant Women's Club.
Apr.14th  The second board meeting discussed and adopted the new General Charter of the BCDCRW. At the meeting Amy
Y.L.Ng was added to the Board of Directors, Gao Guanglin was appointed to be Deputy Secretary-General of the Center.
Apr.18th  Xie Lihua attended a 7-person round table meeting taken place at the Kerry Center Hotel to discuss China's approach to agricultural and rural 
development and its recent successes in reducing poverty levels among the rural poor. Raj Shah, Director of Agricultural 
Development, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation moderated the meeting. Apart from Bill Gates, several leading experts 
joined the discussion about China's rural sector including: Chen Zhangliang from China Rural Policy Research Center, Lu
Mai from China Development 
Research Foundation, Bert Hofman, World Bank,Chen Xiwen, Deputy Director of the Office for the Central Leading Group on
Rural Work,Justin Yifu Lin, Director of China Center for Economic Research.
May 28th   Red Kite Learning, a charity and social enterprise that believes in equipping people with the knowledge and 
skills to fulfill their potential, paid a visit of our organization.
May 29th  Indian Byrraju and Sytyam foundations visited the Center to learn our work and introduce their what they were 
doing for the marginalized people in India.
June 14th  The Practical Skills Training Center for Rural Women was awarded the title of an advanced unit of non state-run schools in Changping District.
June 14th  Xu Xiangxiang from ExxonMobil (China) visited the Training Center and inspected the computer training class
 with funds from the Corporation. 
July 1st  The website Women Village Heads was opened formally. The website address is www.nvcunguan.org.
July 7th  50 people from Tsinghua University and Microsoft Corporation (China) visited the Training Center to inspect 
Microsoft Community Learning Center in Xiaotangshan.
July 5th-Agu.8th  The one-month long fundraising event of providing free hair-cuts was a great success. In total we raised RMB 106,000 for literacy project.
July 15th-22 th  Xie Lihua attended the 15th international workshop of the International Association for Social Development, which
 was held at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Aug. 15 th-8 th   The second training sessions for teachers of literacy classes in poverty-stricken areas was held in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, which was sponsored by the BCDCRW.
Sep. 3rd-5th  The first capacity building training session was held in Beijing for people in charge of Rural Women Resources Centers, which followed by a succession of inaugurations of resources centers in Donggao Village in Qinglong, Xiliang Village in Zhangbei, Hebei Province, Hexi Village in Miyun, Beijing and Lijiazhuang Village in Fenyang, Shanxi Province respectively in September, October and December.
Sep. 8th   More than 500 people came together in a celebration of the TeachersĄŻ Day for teachers from schools for migrant children. The event was co-sponsored by the Migrant WomenĄŻs Club and China WomenĄŻs College.
Oct. 9th-14th   Professor Wu attended Asian WomenĄŻs Forum held in France.
Oct.17th-19th   Professor Wu accepted the invitation to deliver a speech in South-east Asian WomenĄŻs Forum in XiĄŻan Shaanxi Province.
Nov. 24th   The third board meeting of the Center discussed and adopted a series of internal regulations, cleared the relationship with the Training School and the direction for the Migrant WomenĄŻs future development.
